Nyeri estate📍 is one of the oldest coffee plantations established in East Africa in 1914. With seasonal rainfall and excellent soil drainage, the farm boasts deep and fertile soil.
💧The farm employs high-quality #washed coffee processing, harvesting only the ripe, red coffee cherries. The cherries are processed in a washing machine, where the pulp is removed and fermented. After the mucilage is washed off with fresh water to remove the parchment, the beans are graded, spread on raised beds to dry, and hand-sorted to remove defects. They are then dried to the recommended moisture content before being shipped to the factory.
