Brewtiful - Kenya AA Nyeri Hill (150g)
![]()
What makes the Nyeri estate unique is that it is one of the earliest coffee estates established in East Africa, dating back to 1914. It is situated at a high altitude of 1,800 to 2,200 meters. Nyeri’s annual rainfall ranges from 950 to 1,200 mm with a seasonal distribution, and the farm boasts excellent soil drainage with deep, fertile loam.
The farm uses high-quality washed processing for its coffee, harvesting only ripe, red coffee cherries. The cherries are processed through a pulping machine to remove the pulp; after fermentation, the mucilage is removed and the parchment is washed with clean water.
The coffee is then graded, spread out on raised beds to sun-dry, and hand-sorted to remove defective beans before being dried to the recommended moisture content to await transport to the mill.
