Brewtiful - Rwanda Rutsiro Musasa (150g)

This micro-lot of specialty coffee beans comes from the Mushasha Washing Station in the Western Province of Rwanda. The washing station began public operations in 2013 and is situated in the high-altitude hills at 1,526 meters. The estate utilizes a Pinhalense eco-pulper, which separates ripe cherries from unripe or under-weight ones while removing remaining impurities along with the cherries. Growing stronger in capability, it even won the Cup of Excellence in 2011.

Although the farm scale is small, averaging only about 0.18 hectares, it provides up to 6 training sessions per year for farmers in the region, regularly receiving knowledge training on organic composting, rejuvenation, harvesting techniques, and other agricultural practices to ensure optimal growth for their small farms. Through rigorous training, hand-picked cherries, and an ideal microclimate, this produces coffee that exudes floral and citrus notes.
